One of our many Farmer's Market- this one downtown
Let me just say that I love Farmer's Markets! It's a place to get fresh, locally grown produce from local vendors. It's one of my favorite places to get flowers too!I've tried several of our local Farmer's Markets and the more diverse they are, the more fun it is to explore and try new things, like the food vendors have to offer.
It also makes for a fun date. When my husband and I were dating, there was a farmer's market that happened every Thursday in the area where he used to live. We tried some of their local food offerings and even picked up some flowers. That's when the Farmer's Market became somewhat romantic to me.
One of my favorite places that I traveled to for work Boston. I love Boston for the history that it offers, the fresh seafood, and undoubtedly, the East coast attitude and the accents. Okay, so I can do without the attitude but not the accents!
My last day there, my flight wasn't until later, so I decided to go exploring. It was actually a nice day out, it wasn't too humid and it wasn't raining for once.
As I was walking, I noticed tents off in the distance and as I got closer, I realized it was a Farmer's Market. I haven't seen one this big before and I was in for a treat! As I walked through, I could not believe how CHEAP their produce was. I wanted to take bags of this stuff home because of how cheap it was. They also had seafoods, hot foods and international foods. I wanted it all. But it was a bit overwhelming being there by myself. All I wanted besides the food, was for my then fiance to come and experience this with me. But he was on deployment. But that's okay, one of these years I hope we can go back.
If you have any Farmer's Markets around town, I would encourage you to take your favorite person or peeps and take in what they have to offer. You might be happily surprised!
