It is a Good Friday!

He came to earth

through natural birth;

He grew in wisdom,

in favor with God and man,

He had a reason to come;

He touched the poor,

the sick, the outcast,

 He did not ignore;

He had a purpose,

to go below the surface,

to where the heart lies,

to where the heart denies

it's ugliness, it's darkness,

it's sin;

He gave up His life,

for our sin He died,

His back ripped with stripes,

for our many sins He died;

He was gone.

One by one they walked away,

walked away from that tree He hung on.

He said, "It is finished!"

But it was NOT the end.

Have a Good Friday as you reflect on the sacrifice that Christ made for us!
